Not sure if it was my favorite Realignment podcast of the year, but it was the only one I listened to more than once - #164 Eliana Johnson and Chris Stirewalt. BTW, I recommend Chris for a substitute co host.

All the best for 2022 to everyone!

2021 exceeded my expectations. I finished my first year of law school, landed my first paid legal gig, and proposed to my girlfriend of five years. It certainly wasn't an easy year, but those successes made all the hardship worth it.

My approach to 2022, outside of the monster that is wedding planning, is going to be shaped by this question: how can I use my legal education and experience to benefit the most people in my home-city during this increasingly difficult time? I begin working for a judge in a federal court to kick off the new year and I hope that experience will begin to guide me to an answer.

Of the 2021 episodes, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your conversations with Frank Distefano, Jeff Shesol, Vivek Ramaswamy, Amy Chua, Peter Bergen, Andrew Yang, and Jeremy Dauber. (although everyone was fantastic!)

For me, I'm feeling that you saved the best for last.

Roy's FIRE. He's sooo widely experienced and thoughtful; I'll be listening to it again. What a great guy and great mind.

Now the one podcast guest that really stands out for me is Frank DiStefano. His take on the current political environment in the USA made so, so much sense. I read his book, and I find myself referring others to it on my social media endeavors (a little bit of Twit and a lotta boomerin' FBook cuz I'ze a boomer! LOL

2021 was MUCH better than 2020. For me it was mostly my fault. I'm an Indie author who publishes on Amazon. When my sales dropped I thought it was due to the Vid. A pal of mine was having a booming year and couldn't understand it. We chatted about it and it turned out my marketing needed a tune up. Did it, and my sales came back to my +/- $100K per year range for the back end of '20.

2021 I paid more attention and it held. Ended the year pretty debt free aside from car/mtge payments.

In the USA, if a new party does not rise and make a powerful statement (i.e. votes) at the midterms...well, the USA is screwed. The consolidation (see Stoeller) has reached dangerous proportions across the board. And the cultural/social impact of this will become dangerous- See Hedges on Krystal/Kyle & Friends. Despite the IQ on that recent interview dropping 15 points every time Kyle opened his mouth, Hedges makes astute observations on the current state of USA society.

Keep up the great work; you guys are making a difference.

2021 for me was largely a continuation of my same life style since 2018. Work IT so now that people are used to remote\tech now my job has finally started to slow down and I can work on projects again(K12 IT). With seeing the country change its opinion by 60% on inauguration day I felt lost, that the majority really does just everything at surface\culture level.

My favorite episode was 152 the QA. Chemistry was great and it's what really made both hosts more relatable. Sometimes we forget that there is a backstory to your reasoning for believing in something. The devil's advocate was great in this ep too, reminding us your not to ignorant. This is the episode I shared the most when it came out!

Feedback:

There is a lot of discussion about the software like crypto\Web3 but what about the hardware that runs it? There was a recent AWS shutdown that a look into our Network Infrastructure would be a great episode!

Idea for a show would be how bell weather states like Ohio are doing with the recent moves?

Happy New Years!

2021 seemed like a continuation of 2020. I feel much better about 2022. I feel that with all the absurdities and hypocrisies becoming recently exposed in the Omicron wave, more people are becoming aware of Covid's endemic nature.

My favorite podcast this year was probably Eric Weinstein. He seems like a proud father when he's on the podcast. He has a lot of faith in what you all are doing and I believe he is a genuine actor in trying to make sense our current situation. I also enjoy MBD episode and really enjoy all his work.

Some podcast hopefuls I have is number one, Wesley Yang (who I have lobbied for in another post), who is one of my better follows on Twitter and is very thought-provoking and unique.

Second is Curt Mills. I enjoy his directness and think he would be an interesting voice to talk about foreign policy in light of the Ukraine and Taiwan situation.

Thanks for all that you do and looking forward to 2022 episodes!
