We’re both leaving town for President’s Day weekend, so this edition will be bare-bones. Still, we’re committed to delivering a newsletter (almost) every week, holiday season, and summer break excepted.
Ep. 99: Mara Hvistendahl, The Scientist and the Spy: China, the FBI, and Industrial Espionage
Note: You can purchase The Scientist and the Spy at our Bookshop.
Ep. 98: Balaji Srinivasan
This was actually Balaji’s second appearance on the podcast. Check out our episode from last summer:
The Realignment’s Bookshop.org Storefront
As a reminder, we’ve created a Realignment podcast affiliate shop for guest books at bookshop.org. The shop features our guests’ books, including books from Michael Lind, Scott Galloway, Reeves Wiedeman, Ross Douthat, Matt Stoller, and Lisa Napoli.
We’ve built out three Bookshop lists:
1) Our list of the best books we read in 2020
2) All of the books we’ve read so far in 2021
3) Books written by Realignment podcast guests
If you purchase a book using our link, we get a 10% commission, a local bookseller gets supported, and you get an awesome book! Watch this space for new uploads and future lists by topic.
See you next week!

Hi guys, this email is out of the blue regarding content, but I just wanted to share with you a great line I heard yesterday re PC. Author and speaker, Aayan Hirsi Ali was being interviewed on the Brendan O'Neill podcast from the UK (great podcast, BTW). Aayan said something that really described PC to a tee. She said, and I quote, "Political correctness is simply incompetence masquerading as virtue; and there is nothing virtuous about it." She is very interesting and I would like to suggest you interview her on the Realignment. Thanks for all you do. Love the podcast.
