Welcome Back to The Realignment
Hope everyone enjoyed the casual Q&A/discussion we had on Tuesday’s episode. Let us know what you thought below. Today’s issue is very simple. We’d like to do everything we can to promote Frank’s work.
Also, a request from readers/listeners, we’ve had Frank on three times now, and given our chemistry, he’ll be on again. Next time we’d like to integrate the audience more, so please reply with whatever questions you’d like us to ask Frank. Comment below or email us at realignmentpod@gmail.com.
Here are the links to Frank’s two previous episodes:
Frank DiStefano’s YouTube channel has a bunch of great short videos we’d really recommend, especially the following:
Book: Start with Frank’s book: The Next Realignment. It’s unavailable on Bookshop, so go to Amazon.
Short-Form Next Realignment Series: America’s Fifth Party Era: The Liberal and Conservative Era Explained
Podcast: Frank in Conversation with Andrew Yang
Lecture: Why America’s Two Major Political Parties Are Crumbling and What Happens Next
Article: How to Build a New Political Party
What we love about our episodes with Frank is that he’s better at helping us + the audience think about the U.S. at a time when it’s clear that almost no one actually knows what’s going on than almost any other guest we could bring on the show.
So if you could do us one favor, we’d really appreciate it if you checked out his work.

As a reminder, we’ve created a Realignment Bookshop affiliate store showcasing books by guests, what we’re actively reading this year, and deeper dives into the featured topic of an episode.
If you purchase a book using our link, the show gets a 10% commission, a local, independent bookseller gets support, and you get an awesome book!
We’re reorganizing our book lists over the next few weeks, so for now, check out our primary one:

My question is what exactly can Biden and the Dems do to make people's bosses respect them more? I was confused by this episode. You're claiming the Dems are not proposing anything that is relavant for working people, because on reddit people are complaining about their bosses? Do you even know what's in BBB? Child tax credits, child care subsidies, univerisal pre-k, none of these help working people? Community college doesn't help working people? Are climate initiatives not "relevant" when temps and sea level are rising daily? Also, how is getting rid of the filibuster in order to protect voting rights not "relevant". I mean really? Do you think Mitch McConnell is going to anything to make your boss respect you more, good luck. You know I have listened to several of episodes of this podcast, generally they have been pretty good. But the attacks on Biden are not helping anybody. Did you see that last year was the largest job creation year in American history and the highest economic growth in 40 years. Hey I know high gas prices suck, but we could have 2.50 gas and 10% unemployment.
Saagar and Marshall: How do you think a serious conflict with Russia would impact your Realignment thesis; specifically with Gen Z? In comparison to Gen X and the Millennials, Gen Z hasn't yet truly experienced the impacts of global conflict given their youth during the apex of the Global War on Terror. Given the aftermath of the effects of the pandemic, particularly on students, as well as the Great Resignation, how would Gen Z 'realign' during and after a serious ground conflict between nation states?
